On December 3, 2010, St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton and Infrastructure Ontario announced that Plenary Health Hamilton has signed a contract to design, build, finance and maintain a new, specialized mental health and outpatient medical services facility for St. Joseph's Healthcare, in Hamilton, Ontario. The facility houses 305 mental health and addiction inpatient beds, mental health and medical outpatient clinics, clinical support, administrative and facility support functions, and education and research space. The new hospital will provide larger, state-of-the-art facilities in order to better support people and families struggling with mental illness and addiction. Plenary Health Hamilton, comprising Plenary Group (Canada) Ltd. and Innisfree Limited, are undertaking the project, with PCL Constructors Canada Inc. providing construction services and Honeywell Limited provided facility maintenance services. The financing for the project is comprised of a short term bond financing and a long term bond financing which was underwritten by RBC Dominion Securities Inc. The short term and long term bondholders were represented by Fasken Martineau DuMoulin LLP with a team that included Brian Kelsall, Ella Plotkin, John Sabetti, Sean Morley, Marc Lefler and Alex Nikolic.
