On January 17, 2011, LaSalle Investment Management completed the second of a two-staged transaction in which it completed the $48.6 million purchase and financing of two office buildings located at 2001 and 2005 Sheppard Avenue East, Toronto, also known as Heron Hills, from Canadian Real Estate Investment Trust ("CREIT"). The first stage closed on November 1, 2010. LaSalle was advised in this transaction by Fasken Martineau with a team that included Marty Emmons and Andrea Centa with the assistance of paralegal Joanne Meadwocroft.
