The OATT is a pro forma tariff that is in place in a number of jurisdictions in Canada and the US. It was first created by the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) in the US. It governs, among other things, the sale of electric transmission capacity. The OATT contains arbitration provisions. Matt acted as counsel for the transmission provider in an arbitration in which there was a dispute over the allocation of transmission capacity.
