On November 29, 2012, Maple Leaf 2012-II Energy Income Limited Partnership completed the second and final tranche of its initial public offering of limited partnership units, bringing total gross proceeds raised under the offering to $24,615,200. The syndicate of agents for the offering was led by Scotia Capital Inc. and National Bank Financial Inc., and included BMO Capital Markets Inc., GMP Securities L.P., Canaccord Genuity Corp., Macquarie Private Wealth Inc., Manulife Securities Incorporated, Raymond James Ltd., Desjardins Securities Inc., Dundee Securities Ltd., Mackie Research Capital Corporation, Sprott Private Wealth LP and Union Securities Ltd. The syndicate of underwriters were advised by a team of Fasken Martineau lawyers including Anil Aggarwal, Daniel Fuke and Nicole Park (securities) and Mitchell Thaw (tax).
