Counsel to Rogers in broadcasting notice of consultation

Rogers Communications Partnership, along with other major broadcasting companies, intervened in the proceeding initiated by the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (“CRTC”) in Broadcasting Notice of Consultation CRTC 2013-19. The Notice of Consultation involved applications for mandatory distribution on cable and satellite distribution systems pursuant to section 9(1)(h) of the Broadcasting Act and applications for the licence renewal of independent conventional, pay and specialty television services. Rogers was advised by Scott Prescott, Robert Buchan and Yael Wexler of Fasken Martineau.
