The PCL Construction team and the city of Regina have reached financial close on the C$278 million Regina Stadium. The new, 33,000-seat stadium will replace the city-owned Mosaic Stadium as the home of the Roughriders (community-owned Canadian Football League (CFL) team). Design plans for the new stadium allow for expandable seating and the option to add a roof at a later date. The stadium project is the keystone project and the first of three phases of the Regina Revitalization Initiative. The DBF project will be financed with a short-term construction loan. Public funding will come from the Saskatchewan provincial government, the city of Regina and the Saskatchewan Roughriders. Fasken Martineau advised the lenders, with a team comprising Brian Kelsall, Ella Plotkin, Sean Morley, John Elias, Marc Lefler, Jay Choi and Nick Gefucia.
