Tom was successful in appealing a decision of the Supreme Court of British Columbia dealing with a breakdown of a partnership dispute. The Court of Appeal accepted that the decision of the Supreme Court was flawed because it did not apply principles of partnership to the dissolution of a partnership relationship, and instead applied only contract rules.
