Lead counsel to British Columbia Transmission Corporation in a process related to the implementation of Mandatory Reliability Standards (MRS) in BC

British Columbia Transmission Corporation (BCTC) operated the electric transmission system throughout most of BC. The province of BC, like most North American jurisdictions, has undertaken to adopt Mandatory Reliability Standards promulgated by NERC in the United States. BC legislation required BCTC, as operator of most of the bulk electric system in BC, to assess NERC reliability standards before they were adopted in BC. Matt acted as counsel for BCTC in this process. Matt also has experience with MRS compliance issues.
