Stanley Martin is a senior commercial litigator at Fasken’s Vancouver office and a member of the Health industry practice group. With almost four decades of litigation experience, Stanley brings strategic direction and in-depth legal analysis to complex commercial and public law cases.


His practice is a concentration of constitutional law, charities, health law, not-for-profits and trusts,, where he advises on issues relating to Medicare. Stanley also assists clients in a wide range of cases, including statutory and contract interpretation and fiduciary duty issues.


As a constitutional law specialist, Stanley has acted as co-counsel on the first appeal to the Supreme Court of Canada on equality rights under the Charter. Trust disputes and internal and external disputes for charities, in particular religious institutions, are all part of Stanley’s not-for-profit practice.


Stanley also advises on conflicts of interest and professional conduct.
