Summer Ibrahim is a litigator and maintains a broad practice with an emphasis towards breach of contract, securities, product liability, and professional negligence matters.
Summer graduated from the University of British Columbia, Peter A. Allard School of Law. Prior to law school, she obtained an Honours Bachelor of Science from the University of Toronto, Trinity College, where she was the recipient of a number of awards. Summer’s work experience includes acting as a Research Assistant at Oxford University, Faculty of Law, where she researched the laws and economics surrounding extreme sport sponsorships. She also acted as a Research Assistant for two professors at her law school, where she advanced research in criminal, insolvency, tech and banking law topics. Summer also worked under the Honourable Justice Blair Nixon as a student editor to the Annual Review of Insolvency Law.
Outside of work, Summer has also mooted in the Ian Fletcher International Insolvency Law Moot, where her team placed second in the finals held in Singapore. Summer is also an avid fan of jazz and soul musicians, and can often be found listening to Chet Baker, Otis Redding or Billie Holiday. Summer is fluent in Arabic.
Summer summered at the Firm in 2019 and was seconded to Mount Sinai Hospital.
