Terry Sydoryk provides executive business advice, coaching and mentoring to CEO's and executive teams at technology companies. These engagements involve providing advice on go-to-market strategies, financial models, executive team recruiting, financing strategies, venture capital and conventional financing options.
Prior to joining Fasken, Terry was the CEO of Chaordix a community platform provider, which was acquired by Calgary-based Benevity. There his leadership breadth of functional understanding and forward-thinking approach to navigating business challenges supported the Chaordix business, establishing them with notable brands such as LEGO, Rust-Oleum, Bosch, KPMG, HPE, Decathlon and others.
Terry has 25+ years of experience in senior leadership roles leading various early-stage and growth stage technology companies. Throughout his career he has led lean, cross-functional teams and built companies from the ground up. After co-founding AudeSi Technologies Inc., which was acquired by WindRiver Systems in 2000, Terry went on to be COO of Toronto-based Plazmic Inc. which was acquired by Research in Motion in 2002. He later held the position of COO of Calgary-based Evoco Inc. which was acquired by Accruent in 2012.
Terry has an MBA and Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Alberta and has completed the Certified Executive Coach program at Royal Roads University. He is a founding member of the A100, a member-driven organization, whose volunteers devote their time and energy to help the next generation of tech entrepreneurs thrive in Alberta, and a competitive hockey coach in the Alberta U16 AAA Elite Program.
When he’s not at work Terry can be found spending time with his family, home roasting a fresh batch of coffee, cruising on his motorcycle, or setting sail on the seas. His keen interest in the psychology of human performance and entrepreneurship has him always looking for the next big idea.
