Tom Peters is a member of the firm’s Business Law practice group where he maintains a broad corporate/commercial practice with an emphasis on private mergers and acquisitions.
Tom has been involved in a number of transactions, including share and asset sales, reorganizations, and company formation and structuring. He has assisted clients in a variety of other matters, including private placements, public-private partnerships, and general commercial agreements.
Tom also has experience assisting banks, insurers, credit unions, and other regulated financial institutions with regulatory compliance, corporate governance, and mergers and acquisitions.
Tom holds a BCL/LLB from McGill’s Faculty of Law and was called to the bar in 2016 after summering and articling with the firm. Prior to this, he was a Defence Scientist at the Department of National Defence in Ottawa. He also holds an MA in economics from Western University and a BSc in theoretical physics from the University of Guelph.
