Vanessa Mui is a corporate lawyer and assists clients with contractual, transactional, and day-to-day business matters. Vanessa drafts, reviews, and negotiates agreements and advises clients on legal and regulatory compliance matters in the following sectors: retail, food and beverage industry, medical devices, pharmaceutical and life sciences, health care and the provision of health services, health care professionals, charities and not-for-profit organizations. She regularly works with regulatory agencies on behalf of clients to address, manage, and resolve business-related issues.

 

As a Registered Dietitian in the Province of Ontario, Vanessa has clinical, research and industry experience. Previously working in the areas of nutrition marketing, labelling and scientific and regulatory affairs, Vanessa’s work was focused on healthy food innovation, functional foods and natural health products. Vanessa has had client work assignments with Cancer Care Ontario and the Centre for Commercialization of Regenerative Medicine where she advised internal business units on legal matters, drafted and reviewed funding, research, procurement and service agreements, and assisted with updating a policy framework for managing organizational conflicts of interest. With this academic and professional background, Vanessa provides clients with unique perspectives on issues in the health sector and across the life sciences industry.
