Emily recently completed her second year at the University of Victoria, Faculty of Law. Emily was awarded the Acheson Sweeney Foley Sahota LLP Prize for demonstrated excellence in the first year Torts course and the G. Allan Higgenbottam Prize for the highest standing in the Law, Legislation and Policy course. Emily spent the summer after her first year working at a small firm in the Fraser Valley.
During her second year of law school, Emily was on the Editorial Board of the University of Victoria Faculty of Law’s Law Journal, Appeal: Review of Current Law and Law Reform. Emily worked as a Research Assistant for Professor Michelle Lawrence throughout her second year and will continue this role into her third year.
Emily completed her Bachelor of Arts with Distinction from Simon Fraser University, where she also volunteered as a Research Assistant with the Psychology Department. Between her undergrad and law school, Emily worked as an Animal Control Officer for a local municipality.
In her free time, Emily enjoys yoga, running, cooking and spending time with her dog. Emily joins us in May for summer articles.
