Overview

Engagement with the local community - including with community leaders and community members - is an important aspect of any project in the extractive sector. This seminar will examine strategies related to community engagement (including ground-breaking uses of social media designed to reach community members). It will also examine how to understand and respect the cultural practices of Indigenous communities.
