‘Building Back Better’ and the Rise of ESG

This session will feature an analysis of the pre-COVID state of globalization with special attention on the social aspect together with a panel discussion of how our work and social environments have been impacted by, and are now transitioning through, the pandemic realities.

As countries, organisations and individuals set about to resuscitate and adapt to the realities of the COVID-19 pandemic, the role of Business and Human Rights (BHR) and ESG (Environment/Social/ Governance) will be examined, at both the global and corporate level.

The panel will discuss:

• The role and influence of globalisation, BHR and ESG in the ‘Build Back Better’ environment
• The elements of ESG and why they are important to take into account in managing your business
• Reflections on the impact and implications for organizations and the integration of BHR and ESG into an organization’s fabric
