Rebecca completed her second year law at the University of Toronto. During this year, she successfully planned and co-hosted the launch of Black Future Lawyers, an initiative to increase the number of Black applicants to law school. Rebecca had the privilege to discuss BFL with the Minister of Justice and Attorney-General of Canada during his visit to UofT in early 2020. Rebecca has also assisted with immigration-related litigation at Downtown legal services and was a senior editor for the Indigenous Law Journal.

Rebecca has a bachelor’s degree in International Relations from UBC. During her studies, she helped publish the 30th anniversary edition of the Journal of International Affairs. In her second year, Rebecca conducted an independent research trip, learning about cross-cultural collaboration and interview best practices.

Rebecca equally enjoys the arts and athletics. In her first year at law school, she performed with the Supreme Chords, an a cappella group. In her second year, her women’s soccer team won the intramural championship.
