Overview

Scott Conover practices general corporate/commercial law. With particular emphasis on private mergers and acquisitions, Scott has extensive experience in the acquisition and divestiture of private companies, amalgamations and other corporate reorganizations.

Advising Canadian and foreign entrepreneurs and public and private companies, Scott is regularly involved in a variety of sectors, including industrial, life sciences and technology. Scott advises on the establishment and operation of partnerships and joint ventures. His experience also includes private equity investments, secured lending, the licensing and protection of intellectual property and procurement, as well as the sale and distribution of a variety of products and services.

With experience advising directors and independent committees on their duties and potential liabilities, Scott has also provided counsel to closely-held and family owned-companies on governance, succession planning and shareholder resolution. He has acted for both creditors and debtors in complex multi-class debt restructurings and plans of arrangement.
