Kathryn Lloyd is a competition lawyer in Fasken’s Johannesburg office. Acting for both domestic and international clients, in a broad range of sectors, she advises on merger control, behavioural competition matters, including vertical, horizontal, abuse of dominance and price discrimination, and conducting competition law compliance reviews.

She is sought out by merging parties for her expertise in assessing whether merger notifications are required in South Africa and other African jurisdictions, including Botswana, Namibia, Swaziland, Zambia, Tanzania and Zimbabwe, and for preparing merger notifications in these countries. Leveraging her special interest in law and economics principals, she assists clients in agricultural services, healthcare, retail, chemical manufacturing, construction, mining and telecommunications.
