Laura is engaged in a broad corporate/commercial and securities law practice. Laura has a range of experience advising clients on mergers and acquisitions, metal streaming transactions, corporate finance and corporate governance matters. She has received the Governor General of Canada’s ‘Caring Canadian’ Award and the Sovereign’s Medal for Volunteers from the Government of Canada.
She has earned both a M.A. in International Relations from the University of St. Andrews, as well as a M.A. in Intelligence and International Security from King’s College, London U.K. At law school, Laura was a member of the board of the Common Law English Council, a research assistant for the Canadian Internet Policy and Public Interest Clinic (CIPPIC), and a case worker at the Business Law Clinic. Laura also interned as a researcher for a Federal Member of Parliament.
Prior to her time at the firm, Laura worked as an analyst for a leading defence and aerospace strategy consulting firm in London, U.K. In addition to this, she has worked in leading national and international law firms in Europe and Asia, predominantly in their corporate and mining legal departments. Laura summered with the firm's Ottawa office in 2015. She articled at the firm in 2016/2017 and joined the firm as an associate in 2017.
