Julie He engages in a diverse business law practice with a focus on technologies. She supports businesses with buying and selling technology solutions, privacy compliance and data protections. Julie also has experience in general corporate matters including mergers and acquisitions, financing, and share/asset purchase transactions.

Julie is an associate in Fasken’s Business Law Department and is a member of the firm’s IT and Startup/Emerging Companies groups. Julie graduated from Osgoode Hall Law School. Prior to law school, she obtained a Master of Public Administration from the University of Western Ontario, and a Bachelor of Management from Nanjing University, China. 


Julie’s former work experiences include working as a Project Lead for the Ontario Centers of Excellence and the World Wildlife Fund Canada where she managed strategic partnerships, developed business leads, and assisted with contract negotiations. She also worked as the Executive Assistant to the Mayor and as a Policy Analyst for the City of London.

Outside of her practice, Julie is a professionally trained UX designer. She is also an active member in the Toronto’s start-up ecosystem and a regular volunteer for the Federation of Asian Canadian Lawyers.

Julie interned, summered, and articled with the firm. Julie is fluent in Mandarin.
