Marie-Eve Labonté holds a Bachelor of Laws with a cooperative education program from the Sherbrooke University. She joined the Fasken team as a student in 2019, during her last co-op work term.
Marie-Eve has always placed particular importance on school involvement. During her university studies, she was involved as an editor for the Revue de droit de l'Université de Sherbrooke (R.D.U.S.). She also tutored students at the Faculty’s study help centre, in order to help her peers overcome their academic difficulties. In addition, she participated in the Sherbrooke University's sponsorship program to support international students newly enrolled on campus.
Marie-Eve has been on the Dean's Honour List throughout her studies due to her excellent academic record.
Prior to joining the Fasken team, Marie-Eve completed a cooperative internship at the Court of Quebec in the research department of the Office of the Chief Justice. She also completed an internship in the legal department of a company. In addition, she completed a practical training with the Director of Criminal and Penal Prosecutions in Sherbrooke. These activities allowed her to gain experience in various fields.
In addition to her interest in law, Marie-Eve is passionate about travel, reading and dance.
