Olivia McKenzie graduated from Osgoode Hall Law School at York University. Prior to law school, Olivia obtained a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Toronto, where she graduated with High Distinction. She was also on the Dean’s List for all four years of her studies, and was awarded the Queen Elizabeth Aiming for the Top Scholarship. Prior to law school Olivia worked for Rothmans, Benson & Hedges Inc. as a Finance Intern and Credit Officer where she developed the organization-wide insufficient funds (NSF) policy for the company’s direct-to-store pilot project. In 2016, she was also 1 of 8 top oralists at the Lerner’s Cup Moot. Olivia was the Secretary and Treasurer for the Osgoode Society for Corporate Governance, an Editor and Writer for the IPlogue (Osgoode’s intellectual property and technology law blog), and an Academic Advisor with Osgoode's Black Law Students Association. Olivia spent her fall semester of third year on exchange at the University of Amsterdam. In her third year, Olivia was also a 3L Representative for the Osgoode Business Law Society as well as a judge in the annual Osgoode Cup Moot. In her final semester at law school, Olivia completed an independent research paper on the intersection of Privacy Rights and Freedom of Expression after being inspired by a project she completed on the Right to be Forgotten with Osgoode’s journalist in residence. Olivia likes learning about West Indian history, listening to 90s music, going for brunch and travelling.

Olivia summered at the Firm in 2017 and was seconded Distributel.
