Overview

Nic Roodt is a recognized litigation and dispute resolution practitioner in South Africa. He has extensive experience in administrative law and tender reviews, mining law, constitutional disputes, construction and engineering dispute resolution, commercial litigation and forensic investigations. Nic is the Leader of the Litigation & Dispute Resolution group in the region.

With a practice predominantly comprised of contentious construction work, Nic has represented foreign companies in major litigious matters in South Africa, including acting for one of the largest contractors on two power expansion projects in the region. He also advises on the regulatory aspect of mining authorisations.  

Nic leverages his more than 30 years’ of experience to lecture annually on mining law at the University of Pretoria.
