Marc-André Fabien has been a senior partner at Fasken Martineau since 1982. As one of the firm's most seasoned lawyers, he is recognized for his consummate grasp of complex litigations frequently under the media spotlight. He specializes specifically in commercial and shareholder litigation, securities-related litigation and criminal prosecution, as well as litigation involving the federal, provincial and municipal governments.
He has pleaded before all levels of courts, including the Supreme Court of Canada, the Québec Court of Appeal, the Federal Court of Appeal, the Superior Court, various administrative courts and the International Court of Arbitration for Sport. He has also lectured for the Faculty of Law at the Université de Montréal where he taught, among other things, the art of pleading.
His considerable experience before the courts is such that he enjoys an excellent reputation with the judiciary. His expertise is particularly appreciated in all strategic matters.
He has written various articles on environmental law, property assessment and corporate criminal liability.
