Patrick T.J. Gannon

Partner

Patrick is a partner in the Labour, Employment and Human Rights Group in Toronto. He advises employers in both unionised and non-union workplaces on various labour and employment matters, including employment agreements, collective agreement interpretation, union certification, employment standards, wrongful dismissal, workplace safety and insurance, human rights and pay equity.

Patrick represents employers with government bodies, such as the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board and Pay Equity Commission, and before administrative tribunals such as the Ontario Labour Relations Board, the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario, the Workplace Safety and Insurance Appeal Tribunal, Employment Standards Branch of the Ministry of Labour, as well as before boards of arbitration. Patrick also regularly assists employers in reviewing their workplace policies and procedures and he is often called on to provide training and instruction on various workplace issues.

Patrick has worked as a sub-editor for Canada Law Book's Canadian Labour Arbitration Summaries publication.

Patrick joined the firm as an associate in 1998, and became a partner in 2003.
