Overview

Dexter joined Fasken as a student in 2026 while completing his third year of law at the Université du Québec à Montréal. Before joining the firm, he worked as an access to information and privacy advisor at a Québec public institution.

With a strong interest in history and politics, Dexter completed a year of university studies in these fields before pursuing law. During his time at UQAM, he was actively involved in faculty life, in particular by serving as Co-President of the Black Law Students’ Association and as a member of the Comité sur la pratique du droit civil (civil law practice committee). He also participated in the Coupe Ironheart, an interfaculty debating competition, where he finished on the podium among the top debaters.

Committed to contributing to his community, Dexter also worked at the Greater Montreal Legal Clinic, where he applied his knowledge to assist people in navigating the legal process.

Outside of his academic and professional commitments, Dexter enjoys travelling, has a passion for music and indulges his budding interest in film at neighbourhood cinemas.
