Overview

Emily Kim is an associate in the Firm’s Labour, Employment and Human Rights Group in Toronto. She provides advice and representation to employers on a wide range of workplace issues.

Prior to joining the firm, Emily worked at a full-service firm. She obtained her Juris Doctor at Osgoode Hall Law School, and her Master of Arts in Sociology at the University of Toronto. During her JD studies, she received several academic recognitions, including the Dean's Letter Recognizing Cumulative Overall Excellence (2023), the Osgoode Hall Law Journal Prize (2023), the Fogler, Rubinoff LLP Prize in Property Law (2021), and the Clifton H. Lane Memorial Prize (2021).

During law school, Emily served as the Executive Editor of the Osgoode Hall Law Journal and as a Member of the Admissions Committee. Emily is experienced in oral advocacy, winning the Dentons Negotiation Competition, and going on to represent Osgoode at the Canadian National Negotiation Competition, as well as acting as researcher for the Julius Alexander Isaac Moot, where her team won best factum. Further, she has worked as a Caseworker for Parkdale Community Legal Services assisting low-income clients in the areas of law related to social assistance, violence, and health.

Emily currently serves as a Member of the Ontario Bar Association Young Lawyers Division Central Executive, and on the Mentorship Committee for the Federation of Asian Canadian Lawyers.
