Agropur acquires Laiterie Lamothe

On March 14, 2008, Agropur Cooperative, Canada's largest dairy cooperative with annual sales of $2.45 billion, announced that it had acquired the Drummondville-based dairy Laiterie Lamothe. The dairy will join the Agropur Division Natrel, a Canadian leader in fluid milk and value-added dairy products. Agropur was advised in this acquisition by a team from Fasken Martineau that included, among others, Yvon Martineau, Diane Bertrand, Joseph Nguyen, Charles Kazaz and Jean-Philippe Mikus.
