On March 2, 2009, HaiVision Systems Inc. and Video Furnace Inc. announced that they had signed a definitive agreement to merge and become HaiVision Network Video. HaiVision Systems is the world's leading vendor of high-performance H.264 encoders and codec systems. Video Furnace is the market leader in IP video delivery software solutions. Each company brings industry-leading technology to the merger, and together they offer the only end-to-end high-definition (HD) H.264 IPTV platform for education, corporate, medical, and military video-over-IP distribution systems.Based in Montréal, Québec, and in Chicago, Illinois, HaiVision Network Video is a private company and a world leader in delivering the most advanced video networking technology and IPTV solutions. HaiVision distributes its products through value-added resellers, system integrators, distributors, and OEMs worldwide.
