On June 3, 2013, CA, Inc (CA Technologies) completed the acquisition of Layer 7 Technologies Inc (Layer 7), a leading provider of Application Programming Interface and security management software.
Based in Vancouver, Canada, Layer 7 will operate as a subsidiary of CA Technologies and currently serves insurance, banking, telecommunications and government sectors; primarily in the United States, Canada and Europe.
Layer 7 was advised by Fasken Martineau with a team led by Gary Ott and including Keith Spencer, Grant Foster, Ally Bharmal, Bruce Tattrie (technology), Steve Saville, Mark Pontin (litigation), Doug New (competition), Lorene Novakowski (employment), and Karam Bayrakal (technology).
