Scotts Miracle-Gro Company, through its subsidiary Scotts Canada, acquires Fafard & Brothers

On September 30, 2014, Fafard & Brothers Ltd. announced its sale to Scotts Canada Ltd. This transaction will allow Fafard & Brothers Ltd. to further develop its leadership across distribution channels, as well as leverage Scotts' world-class supply chain, research and development and marketing capabilities. In operation since 1940 and based in Saint-Bonaventure, Quebec, Fafard & Brothers Ltd. is a leader in the production of high-quality peat moss and high-performance growing media products, including peat-based and bark-based mixes, composts and premium soils. Fafard & Brothers Ltd. serves customers primarily across Ontario, Quebec and New-Brunswick.
