BC Hydro IT infrastructure and business process improvements

Fasken is counsel for BC Hydro in seeking approval from the British Columbia Utilities Commission to spend approximately $66 million on a project to upgrade BC Hydro’s supply chain IT infrastructure and business processes.   The Application was opposed by multiple interveners, including ABB which opposed the use of its competitor’s IT system.  We were successful in receiving approval for the first phase of funding, with a very favourable decision in November 2017.  A second phase of the process will occur in 2018.
