On August 31, 2017, L.V. Lomas Limited was acquired by IMCD N.V., a market-leader in the sales of speciality chemicals and food ingredients globally. IMCD, headquartered in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, acquired 100% of L.V. Lomas, the Brampton-based Canadian and US specialty and ingredients distributor. Established in 1960, L.V. Lomas is one of North Americas’ leading distributors of specialty chemicals, ingredients and raw materials and generated revenue of C$383 million in 2016. The acquisition will be IMCD’s first step into the Canadian market and will further enhance its presence in the US.
