The Union grieved the Employer’s reduction in hours and the utilization of the line picking process.  The grievance was upheld in part.  The line picking process was upheld and the Employer was able to cancel all lines and essential recall employees into positions.  It was required to ensure that all employees had notice and that employees on lay off were permitted to select new lines as part of the process.
