In November 2019, Fasken acted as legal counsel to Barkerville’s special committee for the sale of all of Barkerville’s issued and outstanding shares to Osisko Gold Royalties Ltd by way of a statutory plan of arrangement pursuant to the Business Corporations Act (British Columbia). The multi-jurisdictional Fasken team was led by John Turner, Grant McGlaughlin, Gesta Abols and included associates Laura Konkel, Fatima Husnain and Martin Owusu. British Columbia-based partners Mark Pontin, Samuel Li and Johanna Fipke advised on British Columbia law matters.
