Grace Tsegakele is currently attending the University of Ottawa Faculty of Law as a student in the Programme de droit canadien, a dual degree in common law and civil law.
Prior to law school, she completed a bachelor’s degree in international development and Globalization, graduating magna cum laude, reflecting her academic excellence and commitment to the francophone community. During her studies, Grace gained experience in public service through her work with the Government of Canada as a student administrative clerk, where she supported document preparation, file management, and internal operations. She also previously worked as a student border services officer, contributing to public safety through verification and reporting responsibilities. At the University of Ottawa, Grace is actively involved in student leadership. She has served as Vice-President of Francophone Affairs and most recently served as Co-President of the Black Law Students’ Association (BLSA). She has also been a Teaching Assistant for first-year Property Law, where she led tutorials and supported student learning. Grace is particularly interested in corporate law, intellectual property, and international trade.
In her spare time, she enjoys Pilates, volunteering in her community, and traveling.
