Keihgan Blackmore’s practice focuses on a range of corporate, commercial and transactional matters, with a particular emphasis on technology, gaming and technology-related sectors.
Keihgan earned his Juris Doctor and Bachelor of Civil Law degrees from McGill University’s Faculty of Law, and summered and articled with the firm. His work in information technology and intellectual property includes drafting and reviewing various agreements, including terms and conditions, licensing and development agreements, and service agreements, as well as supporting with negotiations.
Keihgan’s experience also extends to M&A and corporate financing transactions, as well as the evolving sectors of gaming, video games and digital media. He advises on provincial gaming regulations in Canada, and has researched and written on esports contractual disputes, live streaming regulations, and gaming/gambling laws in Canada and the United States.
Before entering private practice, Keihgan worked several years in public policy for the Canadian Federal Government. He also served as a President of the Black Law Students’ Association of McGill and as a multi-term executive for the Black Law Students’ Association of Canada. He currently serves as a committee member for the Young Lawyer Division of the Canadian Association of Black Lawyers, and remains dedicated to community and student mentorship.
