Overview

Alexander J. Shapiro is a lawyer in our Montréal office. His practice focuses on privacy compliance, cybersecurity, technology and IT contracts. He also has experience in responding to cybersecurity incidents and advising clients on privacy breaches.

As part of his compliance work, Alexander drafts a wide range of internal and external privacy documents, such as privacy policies, governance policies, privacy impact assessments, incident response plans and data processing agreements. Regardless of the organization’s size, he always provides clients with tailored legal solutions that reflect their realities.

Alexander also regularly advises clients on all phases of a cybersecurity incident, including prevention, breach response advice, and stakeholder notification.

Known for his responsiveness, attention to client needs and ability to find creative solutions to complex problems, Alexander is a valuable asset to any organization seeking to navigate the complex landscape of cybersecurity and privacy.

In his spare time, Alexander is also a DJ and co-founder of a local house and techno music collective. He can often be found spinning his latest record store finds at events across Montréal. In addition to his passion for music, he enjoys video games and learning Japanese.
