Overview

Benny Makoloane is an Associate in the Labour, Employment and Human Rights Practice Group. During his time as a candidate attorney, he also accumulated experience in various aspects of corporate/commercial law as well as general civil litigation and dispute resolution.

As far as his commercial experience is concerned, he has been involved in drafting contracts, conducting due diligence, writing tax opinions, assisting with merger filings and litigious proceedings involving the Competition Commission.

Benny endeavours to remain abreast of developments in the labour space, as it is a constantly shifting landscape with amendments to existing laws and new laws being passed. Benny regularly facilitates or participates in training sessions within his department on recent judgments of the Labour Court, Labour Appeal Court and Constitutional Court, as well as other important aspects of labour law.

As an Associate in the Labour, Employment and Human Rights practice group, he is a registered member of the South African Society for Labour Law (SASLAW). He regularly attends SASLAW events and webinars which delve into exciting developments and other hot topics in the realm of employment law.
