Chantal Abou Jaoudi is a paralegal in the Corporate Services department of our Montréal office and works with the regulatory team and the firm’s Labour, Employment and Human Rights practice group.
Chantal assists lawyers and clients in preparing the necessary documents to obtain the authorizations and licences required to carry on activities in Québec. Chantal’s work involves preparing and monitoring authorizations issued by the Autorité des marchés publics (AMP) and licences issued by the Régie du bâtiment du Québec (RBQ) as well as creating clicSéqur accounts with Revenu Québec. Other responsibilities include assisting clients in obtaining apostille certificates and legalizing documents, and helping lawyers ensure that applicable lobbying rules are complied with.
In addition to her regulatory responsibilities, Chantal assists lawyers in the Labour, Employment and Human Rights group and helps clients prepare and monitor their CNESST files. She also works with businesses and ensures that their pay equity declarations (DEMES) are legally compliant.
Prior to joining the paralegal team, Chantal worked for over 3 years as a legal assistant in the Labour, Employment and Human Rights practice group as well as the Privacy and Cybersecurity group.
