Overview

Christopher recently graduated from McGill University, Faculty of Law with degrees in common and civil law. During law school, Christopher clerked at the Specific Claims Tribunal and spent a summer working for the Cree Nation Government in Northern Quebec as a researcher and Gladue report writer. He was also a research assistant at the Centre for Intellectual Property Policy, volunteered at the Legal Information Clinic at McGill, and served as a teaching assistant for a class on sentencing.  Prior to his legal career, Christopher received a Ph.D. in Anthropology from the University of Toronto and was a Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada post-doctoral fellow at York University. During his career as a researcher, he published in the areas of education and cross-cultural criminology; conducted research in Nunavut, Papua New Guinea, and Peru; and taught at the University of Toronto, York University, and internationally. He earned his bachelor’s degree at the University of Western Ontario and his master’s degree at Trent University, graduating from both programs at the top of his class. In his spare time, Christopher enjoys cycling, hiking, and cooking.
