Claude Chammah joined Fasken as a student in 2025, while completing her bachelor’s degree in civil law at the University of Ottawa.
Before joining the firm, she spent several years working abroad in various jurisdictions as a legal consultant in business law. Her experience includes advising on the structuring of healthcare investment funds in emerging markets, corporate governance and regulatory compliance, while supporting clients in international transactions and ESG-related projects. She has represented multinational corporations in the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) sector and provided legal counsel to foreign diplomatic missions. She has also contributed to the drafting of bills and regulations for the Lebanese Parliament.
At the Faculty of Law, Claude was named to the Dean’s List and received an excellence scholarship in recognition of her academic achievements. Her community involvement includes volunteering at a legal clinic offering notary services and writing weekly articles on philosophy, society and reflections on contemporary issues.
Claude is fluent in French, English and Arabic. Her interests include world philosophy, dermatology and Middle Eastern cuisine, as well as exploring the intersection of art, law and human behaviour. In her spare time, she also enjoys paddleboarding and swimming.
