Desmond’s practice involves all aspects of commercial litigation and arbitration with an emphasis on construction law, procurement law, shareholder disputes, high net-worth estate litigation, and debt recovery. He also regularly handles commercial tenancy and construction lien matters and is experienced in obtaining and resisting injunctive relief.
Desmond has represented clients before the Court of King’s Bench of Alberta, the Alberta Court of Justice, and in arbitration and mediation settings. Given Fasken’s role as the official legal services partner for the Canadian Olympic Committee, Desmond also regularly advises National Sports Organizations and athletes in respect of best practices and dispute resolution.
