Devon LaBuik graduated from the JD/MBA program at the University of Toronto’s Faculty of Law and Rotman School of Management. Prior to law school, Devon obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from McGill University, where he graduated with First Class Honours. During his time at McGill Devon was elected President of the Arts Undergraduate Society and managed at budget of $300,000.00. Under Devon’s leadership the organization was brought from a financial deficit to a surplus position. Devon was also a member of the McGill Varsity Cross Country and Track Team, and the Chair of the McGill Model United Nations Canadian First Ministers’ Conference. Previously Devon was a Communications Intern for the American Chamber of Commerce in Beijing, China, an Industry Canada Intern at the Canadian Embassy in Washington, DC, and also worked for the Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade at the Canadian Consulate in Detroit, Michigan. He was also a summer Tax Law Intern with Fasken’s Tax Group. At law school, Devon was the Associate Editor of the University of Toronto Law Review, the Staff Editor of the Journal of International Law and Relations, and was an active participant in the Trial Advocacy Program. Devon enjoys running, swimming, cycling, golf, and programming, and speaks beginner Mandarin and intermediate French.

Devon summered at the Firm in 2017 and was seconded to TD Bank Group.
