Overview

Dongwoo Kim is currently attending the University of Toronto, Faculty of Law. Before law school, Dongwoo was the manager of the research program on technology policy at a national think-tank, covering artificial intelligence, data privacy, and digitalization in key Asian economies. He holds degrees from the University of Alberta (BA, First Class Honours), University of British Columbia (MA), and Peking University (MA), where he was part of the second cohort of the Yenching Scholars program. Dongwoo spent his 1L summer at a Toronto law firm, assisting with files on artificial intelligence and data privacy. At law school, Dongwoo has volunteered for the David Asper Centre for Constitutional Rights, the Korean Legal Clinic, and the University of Toronto Faculty of Law Review and served as the Co-President of the Privacy and Cybersecurity Law Group. He is also a current Junior Fellow at Massey College. Dongwoo spends his free time around movie theatres, coffee shops, and bookstores.
