Overview

Elyse Mitchell completed her civil law and common law degrees at McGill University. Prior to law school, she obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from the University of Ottawa.

During her time at McGill, Elyse held leadership roles as Director of the Compass Legal Clinic and as Coordinator of the McGill section of Pro Bono Students Canada. Outside of those roles, she also served as a Senior Editor on the McGill Journal of Alternative Dispute Resolution and also participated in the 2025 Davies Corporate/Securities Moot competition. Elyse spent her final semester of law school studying abroad in Sydney, Australia.

In her spare time, she enjoys travelling, visiting art museums, discovering new cafés, skiing, and hiking.

Elyse summered with Fasken, during which she participated in the Firm’s Secondment Program and was seconded to The Kraft Heinz Company.
