Emilie Clairoux is an associate within the Corporate/Commercial group. Her practice covers all aspects of business law, including mergers and acquisitions, private equity and start-ups.
Emilie assists entrepreneurs, venture capital and private equity funds, and institutional investors in every step of their transactions, from the drafting a letter of intent, to the implementation of the initial structure, as well as integrating the assets following the closing of the transaction. She has extensive experience in the manufacturing, entertainment, transportation and agri-food sectors. She also advises companies on a variety of business matters and the drafting of shareholder agreements.
Emilie is also interested in corporate social responsibility. She provides legal and strategic advice on corporate ethics and governance.
Since 2015, Emilie has been involved with community associations helping women and children subjected to domestic violence in Montréal. She has also been a member and chair of the board of directors of l’Autre Escale since 2018.
Prior to joining Fasken, Emilie practised in an international law firm.
