Emily Cohen‑Gallant is a workplace and human rights lawyer in the Toronto office with over a decade of experience advising employers across Canada. She is a trusted business advisor to established organizations and companies entering the Canadian market, helping clients navigate complex employment issues with practical, commercially grounded advice.

Emily has a comprehensive employment law practice that includes both litigation and advisory services. She represents employers in litigation before courts, tribunals, labour boards, and human rights bodies nationwide, including matters involving wrongful dismissal, discrimination and harassment, constructive dismissal, restrictive covenants and equity plans.

Emily also advises employers at all stages of the employment relationship, including on employment agreements, workplace policies, accommodations, terminations, restructurings, and employment issues arising in mergers and acquisitions. She works with clients across a broad range of industries, including technology, financial services, manufacturing, retail, health, hospitality, and logistics and transportation.

Emily earned her Juris Doctor from Queen’s University Faculty of Law. Before law school, she graduated on the Dean's List with an Bachelor of Arts in Classics and History from Dalhousie University.
