Canada’s antitrust/competition, marketing and foreign investment laws continue to apply despite the global health and economic crisis arising from COVID-19. However, the enforcement of these laws is being significantly impacted by the COVID-19 response. 

In a webinar hosted by Fasken’s Antitrust/Competition & Marketing Group, featuring the most recent former Commissioner of Competition, John Pecman, and other members of the ACM Group, we will discuss and answer questions regarding these impacts (including merger review, competitor collaborations, enforcement priorities, investigative and adjudicative delays, national security, deceptive marketing claims, refusals to deal and price gouging), forecast future developments and offer practical strategies for businesses. 
The webinar will also include a guest speaker from Fasken’s Labour, Employment & Human Rights Group, Karen Sargeant, who will offer an update of COVID-19 developments for Canadian employers.
